Problem is I need a trailer for 6 - I'll need something bigger than the Boler i think.

That looks like a nice spot Keith. I gave up on tents a few years ago and am for trailer all the way. Mine has a washroom and air conditioning. We call it glamping. Byron we can sleep 8 in a pinch and 6 comfortably. We spent almost a year looking for the right one.

We ended up with bigger than we really wanted but it has everything we could possibly want.

It has a ton of storage and we bought it 3 year old so we got it for half of the cost of a new one. It was owned by a old couple who used it for 1 trip.
Sorry for the threadjack Robyn. :D I will bring you presents Wednesday to make up for it.

Hahaha no there is no TV or electronics allowed when camping. I just like to sleep and cook comfortably. A nice toilet isn't bad either.

Robyn, I pulled the HONDA hand grip off, it will not work as it has an indexing pin likely not meant to be cut off. I will look at the TRACKER, as it has a nice handle also.

Norm, glad to hear that, my only concession to technology is my digital thermometer.

Ive installed 4 pounds of wire over the last two weeks along with 4sq feet of 18ga. I mentioned adding a hoop to a guy in the yard. he promptly lent me his 1.5in pipe bender and a scca rule book. im not looking for a full cage but with the box tube in the rockers and now pipe from wheel well to trunk pan I've created a stress riser at the parcel shelf and seat riser

took a break from figuring out how to bend a pipe and started on the 200 struts. a job i thought would take a night...
Image
I started by cutting off the "off set" spring perches of the 200 struts with a hack saw. cut off some good stock spring perches. welded the 510 perch @ 11.5in, (just like stock) onto the 200 strut. cleaned and inspected a set of stock wagon oil filled inserts. dropped the insert into the 200 strut tube and the top cap would not pass the threads. bolted the two strut insert caps together on a big bolt and turned them down with a drill and emery cloth the 0.030 needed. with the insert installed I noticed two threads were missing in the strut tube. I cut out two washers from a piece of 16ga to take up the slack. bolted it together and there was a clunk... luckily I had a few 0.050 thrust washer from a t98 4spd that (with some sanding) fit between the top cap of the insert and the insert tube.
Image
Image
long story short : lots of messing about to fit stock 510 inserts into 200 struts

so I grabbed a set of the ebay metal fender flares. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-for-DATSUN-5 ... SwYIxYAP8u

Image
the packing was great and I could still smell the paint off gassing as I opened the box. the production is spot on each flare has a corner designation. perfect for a 4dr.

they are made so well that they will only fit like in ......their pic  Image

to gain clearance for the 27 inch tall all terrains my cut will need to be above the belt line.....

well.... they will make good templates for the ones I will need to make :?

if I finished off my arches like this : Image would I get harassed by the fuzz ?
