Anyone recognize these wheels?

Post by datsun.dave »

Hey Guys -

I bought these a couple of years ago and threw them in my attic... Disregard the way oversize rubber. I am trying to figure out if the CSI stamp means Carroll Shelby wheels... I don't have hub caps and I need to source some nice lug nuts... but I think with some 185/60r 14's they should dress up the little butterscotch 510 quite nicely...

The CSI stamp and a 1580 lbs max are the only stamps I can see on the back of the wheels.

Tire option suggestions would be great too...

Thanks!

And she looks a little perky up front because I took the pic and haven't tried to drive her to settle the suspension down again... I am afraid the vintage 205/60/14's that are on there will rub... but the offset looks pretty good.

I think those are western minilites. Do you have a measurement of rim width? Looks like the 185/60 would be the ticket.

I ran 185/60s on a 14x6" and was happy. Not super grippy, of course...

Thanks for the feedback guys. I haven't measured the width - but if they fit 205's, 185 should be a cake walk... this car is more show than go - so grippy doesn't really factor in right now... L16 Auto... dead stock. But still looks the business...

And Okayfine - thanks for the link - that is a great resource!

Old thread, but in case someone lands here via search or browse with a similar question about these wheels:

Western Superlites-

I think the wheels in question are Shelbys since the inner ring that joins the spokes just outboard of the lugnuts is thinner than on the Western wheels.
