Del-A-Lum LCA bushings

Post by Chickenman »

Does anyone know who makes Del-A-Lum LCA bushings for Datsun front LCA's. Specifically 240Z-280Z? Not looking for Poly and not looking for Mono-Ball. Specifically want the Del-A-lum style. Any local fabricators ( Byron ) make them?

Just got off the phone with Byron. He mentioned that Delrin LCA bushes in a LCA that uses Tension Rods for fore and aft location, is not a good idea. The front LCA's travel in an Arc fore and aft with suspension vertical movement because of the Tension Rods . This causes binding with Delrin bushings. Delrin is even worse than Poly because it is so stiff.

The GM LCA's don't have this issue as they use a two pivot LCA to control fore and aft movement. Similat to a 510 rear LCA or 280ZX rear LCA.

So I've ordered new OEM front bushings from Rock Auto. Bech Arnley at $5.67 each. Those should be good enough for my purposes.
