So Tim picked up a 69 wagon to drive while we fix his car. Checking the car over I noticed this. They are defiantly come out next time his is up. They look so scary!

I'm trying to figure out the purpose of the shims...

Definitely rip those out, the single shear bolt is bad enough without adding leverage to it.

That's a redneck castor shim from someone who shoulda just stayed on the porch with his beer!

Those are offset camber bolts. They were an aftermarket production piece. There's stuff in an old Five'n'Dime about them. Word was they always ended up moving/rotating.

Seemed like they're being used to lower the LCA mounting point in the photo above.
