The latest forecast models indicate some scattered showers during the day tomorrow with the real significant precipitation not arriving until about 6-8pm or so. Hopefully you'll get lucky and stay dry. Have fun. Wish I could go check it out.

Forecast is changing almost hourly. Accuweather is now forecasting Partly Sunny with spotty showers in MapleRidge. I'm going regardless of what it does. Just to support Glen.

Glen just sent me a text photo - the entire from of the dealership lot is empty! Cleared for the show.

Should be cool, see you all there tomorrow, hope all you locals can make it.

I will be there to support Glen also!

Leaving the plant at 7:00, just to miss as much traffic as possible should it be raining. Not sure what route I'm taking at this point. My tires are not meant for heavy rain and wow did it rain in White Rock this morning, then the huge winds hit, strongest I have seen here. Lots of power bumps and power out just to the east of me. I shut my computer off for 4 hours in case of a surge. Shaw cable is still blown up, no TV signals at all.

Morning Gang,

Mike, I should be swinging into the Esso at about 7:50 - 8:00 AM, I will stop in for sure.

Wow, I still have no TV so looked at the news this morning on the computer, cannot believe the damage from the wind. I have massive trees in my yard and sweat bullets yesterday at the height of the wind. I was lucky for sure and it says my old trees are well established with good root systems. Other than some small twigs, just a ton of bough ends came off.

What a gauntlet..tree debris everywhere, traffic lights out..BOTH ways...cops up the ying yang..two young lady's left in tears on the Lougheed, as their car was loaded onto the tow truck..NOT paying attention to the speed limit..and RAIN.....I tried to hide my crying as much as possible, it was for Glen after all.

Good turn out, nice crowd as usual..pictures to follow I'm sure, some nice cars there.

ya that was ........exciting, the tree pulp on Fraser hwy was so thick and greasy. lane changes were like cutting ruts in a foot of packed snow. I was happy to be running gravel spec tread and when I came to intersections controlled by stop signs......... I know its the same procedure as lights out or flashing but many were lost to the concept. especially if there was someone indicating left.

great show, fun goodies in the bag.

Really wanted to make it to this show, but what a nightmare around here.

No house damage but didn't get power back until 4 this afternoon after losing it at noon Saturday.
Trees down everywhere, no traffic lights, roads blocked, flooding streets. Only thing missing was Mad Max cruising around siphoning gasoline.

Glad the show turned out well.....maybe next year.

So I got up early this morning – looked out the window and its bloody pouring rain – apparently that 30 to 50mm of predicted rain had arrived. So aside from my new garage footings sinking in an unintended swimming pool in the back yard; my thoughts were – I’m supporting Glen’s show today, but I honestly won’t be able to keep the fog off the windows in the Bronze car even for the short drive to the show with this much rain falling. Damn it – I keep kicking myself in the ass for taking out that bloody heater!
So the choice was simple, I would go in Ole’ Blue – his heater works awesome. As I needed some space around the house this week due to concrete pouring, the car had been moved to my father’s place. As some of you know, he has a beautiful piece of tree covered paradise in rural Maple Ridge. However as the more astute may have read earlier in the thread today – we had a hell of a wind storm yesterday –in the Pacific North West (Washington State and Southern BC) the likes of which no one remembers having during the summer months in the past 30 years. 36 hours later and there are still a large number of people without power as I write this.
Now lesser down the scale of problems, this is how I found Ole Blue this morning….

It would have taken the better part of the day just to make Ole Blue partially show worthy. So the Bronze came out – after procuring a permit…. which made me about 2 hours late, so the show was well under way upon my arrival.

It was good to see Tyson out in his 510, I loved this B210, and Glen B’s shifter got more that it’s fair share of attention - quite the grabber for his first show in this local Maple Ridge 510.

The Z cars were represented well, Rockin’ Rod’s yellow fever and Ian Tanners SHO powered cars grabbing lots of attention.
