WOW, what an excellent day out in the wilderness! Big thanks to Keith for setting it all up. I borrowed my buddy Stan's truck for the journey (too bad he had to work!). There are some steep sections that my 2WD Nissan could not do - gotta love that four low!

Looks like you had a great time boys. Awesome photos and well documented.
Sorry I missed the chance to join you on the short notice trip. He Bronze got a brain transplant and now runs a Setpoint ECU. Just got it running again last night - I'll update my head soon.
The wilderness of the coastal mountains is always amazing, you can't get enough of it. We are fortunate to have this in our back yard.
I look forward to the next hike. For the first time in 8 years I can probably say that I'm physically ready to join you group, I'd look forward the next hike.

Sorry for the short notice, trying to co-ordinate people (my son too ) makes it hard some times.

I have looked at some other places we can go also, depending on how the snow melt goes. One is up into the Cascades, to a place called Twin Lakes (off the Mnt.Baker hwy ), where you can drive to 5,200 feet, then hike up to the 7,000 ft level, and explore another old mine shaft. The views are beyond spectacular.

Rob...I was NOT impressed by the fire starting...he used TWO matches.......
