Re: 72 Ultra Orange - Bucket List Restomod
If I were you I would take the front sway bar off Jam the motor in the hole so there's weight in it tow it to the shop get it 98% set and then bring it back..
I have alignment turn plates and Camber and Caster gauge is so I don't have to deal with Towing at somewhere lol

Re: 72 Ultra Orange - Bucket List Restomod
personally I would try for 5.0 to 5.5 caster 1.5 camber 1/8 or so toe. main thing is both sides very close on caster. my car is at 5.8 caster and 1.8 neg camber haven't driven it yet... I still have to do my unflared cars alignment and will try for similar on pumpkin. the rack tie rods are stiff to ...

Re: 72 Ultra Orange - Bucket List Restomod
have you pulled the front wheels forward yet for more Caster because it doesn't look like it in the pictures. need that done before assuming swaybar is good.. IMO..
that will straighten the tie rods too I think

Re: Suspension and brake questions
the strut insert has to match the spring Rate. there are plenty of threads here on spring rate and Insert selection. I wont rehash that. as far as adjustable most strut inserts don't adjust virtually at all the only one that truly does is the koni race which I'm guessing is well outside the realm of...

Re: Suspension and brake questions
I wouldnt use Silvermine. if your shortening the housings yourself buy parts from DP.. not df.. same for brakes every car i own has coilovers in it... but if you're only looking to go slightly lower than stock I don't see the point.. put in a set of Springs ..a sway bar .. plus also all depends on w...

Re: Possible better alternative to 280ZX struts found
i wouldnt get hung up on part #s.. norm and mike are both correct - ZX and 510 are the same angles- we have been using ZX struts (possibly not the 79 ones with a rack although i havent seen one of those in a while - -- the rest of the zx are a steering box - EXcept Turbo-- as direct replacements for...
