Re: SEMA 2017
The wagon was pretty bad, didn't have a rear bumper, mounting holes not even filled. I would have been ashamed to show in it at the local cars and coffee. Troy's built 510 was a lot nicer, I am sure there was some sleepless nights on that car to get it done in five weeks, but it did look nice. One c...

Re: How much does it weigh?
Is the flywheel on the VQ the factory dual mass one? If it is, it is very heavy, a Jim Wolf one is very light.

Re: SEMA 2017
Good show this year, lots of Datsuns compared to previous years and a lot of them in the main show area, not in the shadows. Datsun's where the most popular marque of the Japanese at the show. Did notice that some of them seemed to be thrown together with not enough build time.

Re: Narrowing rear control arms
Yes and theirs probably others. Another idea is to make the mounting plate also be the caliper mounting too, killing two birds at once.JordanTr wrote:I like s13/14/15 parts for the cartridge rear bearings. 4 and 5 lug availability.

Re: Narrowing rear control arms
Feel free to bitch slap me if you like, but if you're going to go to all the trouble of making a completely new control arm, why not make it so that you can use a bolt on hub like on many newer cars? This would effectively shorten the bearing area giving you more room for a longer shaft. My thought...

Re: What's wrong with my diff??
I wonder if the STI temp sensor would fit those diffs? That way you could monitor while driving. Do you think that loctite bearing retainer would work?

Do you have a gas lens on that torch? If you do, you can extend that tungsten out far enough to get in the corners without bending the flange.

I probably am sounding like a broken record today, but it's all in the "Bible", Trevor Harris doing his magic on the front wheel wells.

Re: Question to the L4 engine building guru's re cam oiling
To add to the above comments, Racer Brown cams have an additional oil hole drilled in certain cam lobes, because they were not drilled in the correct location from the factory ( the factory drilled them in one machine set up) All this is covered in the " Bible". I would highly recommend th...
