Kinda transmission in your racer? Some of that stuff is still available from the dealer, or alternatively from Rockauto. Need an application to guess any further.

DQ Volume 5 Issue 3 - Tech How-To: Troubleshooting Electrical Systems: Part One - Automotive electrical system fault diagnosis may be the most feared work for the backyard mechanic. Many people view electrical systems as a sort of black magic, best left to professional shops. This may hold true for ...

Re: Wiring Harness
Recommend you get a wiring diagram for your car and study it long before you start running wires. A universal aftermarket harness is fine and good, but it won't be a complete solution for you. A 510's headlight switch has five wires on it - how many wires is the aftermarket harness sending? Your fir...

Hello and welcome to The Realm. If you could put your location in your profile, that'll help us know where you are. Lots of "more get up" options to be had here, but they're all money-sinks!

Hello and welcome to The Realm. If you have any pictures of past 510 projects, please post them up. Vintage pics are always awesome, they remind me of FiveTen Again.

Can't see much reason to spend money to fix nothing broke. Knowing the age of the coil is no guarantee of future performance.

Re: Electronic ignition - what's the best option
Large-cap L20B points distributors are still preferred, to reduce any instance of cross arching. Depends on if you have a problem or not. Would also recommend looking at the advance curve and adjusting if necessary, since you'll have it somewhat apart. Factory EI has always worked, though, and would...

Re: EFI surge tank under car
Here's an inline pump and filter mounted to the vertical surface of rear passenger seat floor. Plenty of room for all that and a surge tank. It was only after getting all this done that icehouse suggested mounting the pump to the crossmember, since the crossmember had rubber bushings to the body alr...

Re: EFI surge tank under car
Any reason to not run an in-tank pump?
Alternatively, there is room to mount a tank and pump on the front side of the rear crossmember and under the rear seat bottom bump.

Hello and welcome to The Realm. Your new project looks very period '90s with the mono scheme, spoiler, and tire and flare package. Not a spoiler I'm used to seeing, any idea of its provenance?
Looks like a clean car, do you have a plan yet?

Tons of sites for SUs. Check out the Dime Quarterly backissues at The 510 Archives. There are three comprehensive articles I wrote back in the day. My old website is long gone, but the info lives in the pages of DQ.
