Re: '71 4 Door - Mikuni'd KA24DE
I also found that the tranny mount (280zx) made mt KA tranny sit lower than I wanted. Have the chevy poly mount that you are using on the shelf but really don't want the extra NVH. How are you finding your mount is in terms of vibration and/or noise?

Re: Factory Tachometer Install with EI - Resistorr Size for use with EI Dizzy
I wired mine up correctly and it still wasn't very accurate and would jump around a lot. Had West Valley Instruments rebuilt it and part of the process was for them to modify it so that it picked up the signal with a single wire to the negative side of the coil. Very easy install and it works just f...

Re: The Red Baron
Can't find the original pictures of the heater pre-refurbishment but needless to say it didn't look that great. A ton of leaves had been trapped inside the heater and every time I would turn it on broken pieces of leaves would come out. It had been 3 years and I was still getting leaves! Pulled ever...

Re: The Red Baron
No not yet...will just do the rear coilovers and the new CV kit at the same time. Basically the entire rear end including R31 brakes, etc.

Re: CV Failure
Helpful information so thanks for replying! Good to know that you had similar issues while the thinner bushing was on top. Makes me confident that switching them will help resolve some vibration.

Re: The Red Baron
So not much progress on my car. Waiting on Rebello to engine dyno the 2360cc motor as the actual engine is done, just waiting for dyno time. Also working with Stance on a custom coilover setup and finding it challenging to get the proper parts shipped over from Japan. Hopefully, in a couple of weeks...

I have one as well. Just the manifold though but in nice condition.

Re: CV Failure
Let me know if you get any vibration upon acceleration after the install of those bushings. I have the same ones and put the narrower one on top like you and after many measurements of my driveline angle came to realize that I need to swap them and put the thicker one on top which should get my angl...

Re: Brian's S15 SR20DE Swap - Spriso Motorsports
Somewhat on topic here but does anyone know where I can find a good walkthrough on how to R&R an engine from the bottom like Michael did here?

Definitely will be following this! Michael, you do great work with attention to detail so I will enjoy seeing your work. I'm old school and love my L-series but appreciate the goals behind this build.

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!
Since we're on the topic of caster, hope you don't mind if I ask?
What is a suggestion of caster degrees that is a good balance of improved handling while not killing your arms at low speeds? I'm putting on my adjustable T/C rods next week and was targeting 3 degrees.

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!
Jeff,
Have you listed your suspension setup included alignment settings anywhere on the Realm yet? Would love to see a summary of what you have and what settings you are running today? Seems like they are working well for you and might for others.
Cheers,
Ryan

Re: The Red Baron
Not really - the provider just cautioned me about advertising the CV kit too much as he is finding a much harder time finding all the necessary parts from Japan. It's Stewart Wilkins Motorsport from Australia.

Don't know why I bought these as my current set is really nice and clean with no cracks in the plastics and nice shiny chrome. But when would I ever find this again!!! Japan Yahoo Auctions...
