Re: PoorMtnKids 70 2DR
Think of it as the best of the worst, that pump was crap and if it had gotten pressure..how might it have failed you on the track and wreck the engine. My dad said the same thing, its just super frustrating because I'm sure between my father and I we could have pieced it all together at home with j...

Re: PoorMtnKids 70 2DR
I figured I would update this as it has been a long long while. For anyone who was reading my oil pump priming issue I have since had the opportunity to remove the engine back out of the car and get the oil pump out. Without a surprise the oil pump was never changed. It's pretty sad when you pay goo...

Re: SR20DET Oil Pump Priming
Latest update. I took off the pan to inspect the pick up tube for cracks, it looked good but the o ring was obvious it was never replaced. I have ordered the later model sr pick up while I'm in here. The plan at this point is to put the later style in, bolt back up and try again using the drill pump...

Re: SR20DET Oil Pump Priming
No luck =( I tried this method and was able to get oil coming out of the camshaft oilers, turned the car over and still get no pressure. During the replacement of the oil pump what could go wrong, missing, incorrect , etc. to cause this problem? On thing I read is there is an O-ring that if missing ...

Re: SR20DET Oil Pump Priming
Hey Michael Thanks for the suggestion, I was able to come up with a plan. So I have a oil cooler adapter block similar to this already that runs to my oil cooler, I was able to source an AN fitting that can connect to the end of the IN line and I was able to pick up some tube and a drill pump. I'm g...

Re: SR20DET Oil Pump Priming
I built a tank that holds 1 gallon of oil. The tank has a line off the bottom I screw into the oil pressure sending unit hole in the block. The tank has an air supply line at the top with a valve, I hook my air compressor up to it and pressurize the tank. Some engines you can see oil start to pool ...

Re: SR20DET Oil Pump Priming
When I blow through one hose I can hear it blowing bubbles in the pan. Just checking, are you pulling oil from the pan - cooler - pump - Filter => engine? Or is the oil going from the pan - pump - cooler - filter => engine? Just clarifying. Byron I was trying to research that also on the SR20's but...

SR20DET Oil Pump Priming
Back in April I took my engine to a local machine shop for a full rebuild. Just this weekend I fired the engine for the first time but I'm not getting any oil pressure throughout the system. I have tried to search the typical SR forums about priming the pump and most lead to just removing spark/fuel...

Re: New swap-4G63T
I had the same issues with my 300zx mod now sealing. I eventually had a shop here in town build a new tank with a sump and an external pump. When I had the 300 with stock tank I had huge starvation issues at half tank while at the track on long left hand turns. So it was either that or have fuel spi...

FS: 1973 2dr 510 w/ 68/69 roller
Hey Everyone My uncle is looking to sell his 510's, the catch is you have to get everything and he will not part the two out. 1st we have a 73 if I remember correctly 2 dr 510 with L20b. He says when he got this motor it was hoped up with cam's and what not. I cannot say to what exactly but you can ...

Re: Stereo Options
The Amp with aux cord sounds like a viable option. Amps now are smaller than before with good output, so easy to store out of sight. I di did find a Rockford fosgate system that does exactly what I want but its just under $200, I can pull off the amp trick cheaper I think. Not looking for some crazy...
