Re: 1971 Red 510 "Jessie"

Some other parts I already had or needed to just buy online. Re: 1971 Red 510 "Jessie"

After looking around for a while I picked up most of the parts I need for the auto-to-manual swap. Going to document it as well as I can for the next newbie (like me) to follow the basic steps. Definitely need the pedal box from a manual 510 so that you had the tab for attaching the clutch pedal ret...

Re: Oil Pressure Sender

Thanks for all the assistance so far! I have not have a chance to get around to purchasing the adapter yet and might just wait until I drop the engine/tranny in over the next couple of weeks and then get around to fixing these little issues. It was only leaking a little so for now I will probably ju...

Re: Oil Pressure Sender

Naive question - how call I tell if its BSPT or if it's been tapped so that it is now NPT? I think it would be BSPT..why else would there need to be an adapter, right?

Oil Pressure Sender

In going through the L20b I picked up a few months ago, I'm cleaning and upgrading some of the parts for reliability. I've already put on the higher volume KA24E oil pump and will be doing the internally regulated alternator soon. The engine already came with the following fitting and line (see pics...

Re: Old school 510

And another question...you mentioned finding a nut and bolt kit. I have been looking for something like that as well. Any suggestions?

Re: Old school 510

Much appreciated! I called them and they actually had a NOS fuel pump in stock for a 1977 200SX L20B (my engine). He said that he wouldn't charge me for the dust..haha. $60 out the door and it shows up on Friday. Thanks for the compliment on my car. Have a bunch of pics that need to be uploaded and ...

Re: 1971 Red 510 "Jessie"

I'm definitely going to put in a manual transmission. In fact I just picked up a L20B and 200SX tranny combo a few weeks back and have started going through and getting everything cleaned up and in the right shape before swapping everything over in Dean Sherman's garage. Off topic: I also started a ...

The year was 1998, I was a junior in high school and for the past 2 years I had just worked 365 days a year delivering newspapers and finally saved up $1000 to buy my first car. MY dad said no V8s so that 1971 lowered Chevy C10 I saw every day was out of the question. Somehow I stumbled upon the mov...

If anyone is wondering why there is a ladder randomly in the background, my wife was picking pomegranates from the tree :)
