Re: Prothane transmission mount
That is interesting that you had to use an additional spacer on top of the poly isolator. If anything the poly i used is too thick to clearance the T3 mount with the McKinney puck engine mounts. I need to remeasure everything once more but thanks for providing your info.

Re: Prothane transmission mount
I am running the same prothane mount on KA swap with T3 Trans crossmember and McKinley motor mounts, I actually had to add a spacer under the prothane trans mount to get everything to line up--- the 280z trans mount dropped the trans too low and angled the engine so far downward the head/valve cove...

Prothane transmission mount
Looking for advice on the Prothane transmission mount. Setup is for a Datsun 510 with SR20 trans with T3 trans mount bracket. I purchased the Prothane 7-1604 trans mount poly but it was significantly taller when mocking it up compared to my 280zx OEM mount. Does anyone have the correct trans mount p...

Re: New swap-4G63T
Silvermine site for the coilovers states "Shock tube diameter is 22MM" are the factory 510 struts and 280ZX strut casings identical with both measuring 22mm? Just making sure they will be adaptable to 280ZX strut housings.

Re: Pilkington Windshields - Easy and new Availability
Major back order on the windshields.If you recall I received a cracked windshield from bad UPS freight shipping in July. Summit placed a new order which was scheduled to come in Aug. I called them in late Aug when I didn't receive a confirmation and they said it wont be coming till Nov! SO if your n...

Re: Fred's 73 2dr 510
As you said, I think it's a critical detail if I want it to run smoothly. Here are some pictures to illustrate my issue. Re: Pilkington Windshields - Easy and new Availability
[/quote] My windshield came in yesterday so I measured it's thickness with my metric vernier caliper and 6.5mm or .255" thick and my chinese glass was 5.8mm or .228" for us Americans who still enjoy the standard system :shock: That's a difference of .027" or .68mm for our brothers and...

Re: Pilkington Windshields - Easy and new Availability
If anyone decides on purchasing a Pilkington windshield or any brand thats delivered UPS Freight make sure and have the shipper wait for you to check the glass. Luckily I had him stand next to me when I opened the box and found the glass shattered on the corner from them dropping the box on its corn...

Re: 1971 2 Door, L16 --> 2.1 Long Rod --> SR20VE
Recommend claying to check piston to valve clearance. The JE Pistons used for my SRVE setup has large relief valves set up for N1 camshafts. Lock out the rockers to check secondary lobes for critical clearance
