Re: A little help IDing…Again
I had one car where this system was still functional back in the 90s. It was a 72 wagon. I actually kept the system functional. What’s interesting is some of the switches are normally open, others are normally closed. I harvested a switch for the reverse lights that was in the wrong position natural...

Re: New Member
You are now approved and can post away. This is a new change that we instituted a number of years ago because the site was getting seriously spammed. There’s a few of us mods that sift through every email. It comes in and approve all of the ones that are actually Datsun related. Would love to hear a...

Re: A little help IDing…Again
I guess the easiest way to tell is putting a multimeter on the switches and placing the transmission in gear. The switch that closes its contacts in reverse is the winner ;-) Do let us all know when you get this figured out. I used to know the answer to this question. My gut feeling is that the reve...

Re: 72 2 Door 510 Restoration-25 years in the making
Thanks! Yep, I did, I followed the procedure in the "How to keep your Datsun alive" book. It has the procedure for both loosening and torquing. That is such a great book; out of print, unfortunately. I wish I could at least get a PDF of it instead of renting it on the Internet Archive! I ...

Please try the forgot password option with your original account. It should, hopefully, work now! Hi, I logged in here again but this time I cannot see anything in the forum as it says I need approval from moderator. May I know what happened to my account here? How can I view the contents again? Yo...

Re: Hello from México
We’d love to see some photos of your car. The Mexican 510’s are completely differed from what the US and Canada got. These cars were built locally in Mexico for the Mexican market only. we’d love to see photos of your car, and detailed progress photos as you move through your project. Welcome to the...

Re: Building a rear floor
Maybe it’s captain obvious , but what are the chances of you finding a parts car in your area that you can take a floor pan section from? 2rd or 4dr would be the same inside of the rocker panels. It’ll be a whack of an undertaking, but it’s likely the easiest way. Alternate route - your ready for an...

Re: Unable to log in
Yayyy!!! Spencer found a work around. I got my original handle back up and running on the phone. Connected no problem with the password reset. In my case, I’d hit the password reset button, but would not get the email. It’s working and it’s great to be back with my original handle. Thanks Spencer fo...

I was searching for some archive photos and came across a Speedhunters article that featured the Bronze when it still had ITB's on it - flashback

Re: Unable to log in
Those of us having issues must all must be missing a step as this works for others - is there a setting that needs to be changed or something that needs to be switched off?
Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Unable to log in
On my phone, I am unable to do the password reset and get past the first step, which is - Type in your email address, then hit reset. The reset button turns red, and nothing happens. Since I can still automatically log in on my laptop, I have verified my email address is correct. I'm at a loss here,...

Re: Single vs Tandem Master Cylinder
If the brakes are modified in any way, chances are you'll never get the correct bias F/R with a single MC. And Mike posted a very valid point above on safety. If removing the booster from the system, the way to modernize the brake MC with be to use twin, single masters on a balance bar. Today you ca...
