Re: H190 disc conversion

Lorne, Use the brake brackets off a 200SX with an H165B rear (11/79 to 6/81). Looks like a smaller version of an H190 only with 8 not 10 bolts holding the center section into the rearend housing. The calipers brackets will bolt to the H190 housing. The caliper holes are slightly off from a 2 piston ...

Re: L18 Piston ID

Let me try and help you out. Like others have said, these are most likely Nissan/Datsun comp pistons. Most likely made by Arias or Venolia given the date the engine was originally built. Compression ratio will be around 12:1 because of the domes. It will require race gas, high test street gas doesn'...

Re: '72 C Sedan Project

Going to a pair of dual short master cylinders will allow clearance for the #4 air horn. Design Products Racing has a dual master pedal conversion that uses the original 510 pedal assembly. They modify your existing pedals to dual masters with a balance bar, just like the BRE 510's were done in the ...

Re: mystery part

Merlin, I had to laugh. Its been over 20 years since I've seen one of those. Datzenmike had it right, it worked in conjunction with the transmission switches to swap to the second set of points in the dizzy. My '71 had one (over 20 years ago) , had to look twice to figure out if it realy was what I ...

Re: FS: 87mm(?) or 89MM JE PISTONS

Nickeldimeme, I dropped you another PM. The 3.4" ruler measured dimension doesn't add up. 87mm is 3.425" there is a good chances these are 87mm pistons. Pistons for a .010" overbore 89mm (3.513") would measure 3.5" with a ruler. Something is wrong here, sounds like the pisto...

Re: SETTING UP A DRY SUMP SYSTEM

Lorne, Get the copy of DQ 8.4. It should be a good starting point for you. Here is some quick advice. First thing to remember is cutting corners on a dry sump system can easily cost you an engine. If you need to save a couple hundred dollars, look elsewhere. A good dry sump system is not cheap, but ...

Re: Fuel Cell/Pump Help

I have Carter pumps on two of my racecars and my next car will get a Holley. Longevity has been an issue on the Carters. On one the rotor loosened from the shaft and it stopped pumping after limited use. The second was outright scary. The rotor chamber sits on top of the electric motor, the seal bet...

That would be a Toyota Starlet. Front engine, RWD like real cars should be. They were Toyota's hot entry in SCCA GT5, lots of TRD support in the day.

Parts from the Quikskin Molds, Now Available

I am the current owner of the Quikskin molds. They are now in New Hampshire of all places. I recently arranged to have a composites shop start making parts from them again. The list of molds is extensive, but only a few components have been priced out to date. I have molds for BRE Bubble flares/fron...
