Just make sure if you need the bearing spacers that the letter stamped on them matches the letter stamped on the swing arm, very important.

When I installed my SR (12 year ago) i did it from up top, complete engine and trans minus exhaust manifold. I simply raised the back of the 510 high enough to only need a bit of trans angle downward with an adjustable engine sling and it was in and was very easy. Just an easy way to do it if you do...
Those 1/4 windows are heavy for the shit hindges it pivots on and if the latch side of the windown sags downwards it makes it difficult latching them. I elongated the mount to raise the window making it a bit easier to latch down.
I wish that a waste gate was available when I started slaloming, as I had so many issues to try to deal with as I slowly learned and upgraded what I had. I did purchase an"air restricter" made by IMPCO, a TC2. What it did was totally throttle the air flow, starving the motor ( I still have it in th...
Ok, waking this thread up again to close the loop for future info seekers. First, I'm sorry, but I failed to get a vid of the magical plug firing in mid air! Believe it or not, it happened. I got too wrapped up in getting the project done to think about documenting it. Just like it used to be I gue...
But...the kits sold here came with NO boost control and as most guys opened up the exhaust...it was "to the moon Ralph!" That was at least my experience with guys I ran into, plus, you mention water injection, no one did that that I was aware of. In most cases here, guys were hitting 20 PSI, so it ...
I could write for hours on this one. Problem with early 510 turbo kits was mainly NO boost control, and, by the 80's 98 octane fuel was gone. Stock head gaskets never survived much boost PERIOD! "O" ringing the block is the only solution. The Crown Mfg/Rajay turbo kits was one of the worst, it came...
Awesome!! Maybe we can both drive to Summit Point WV for the East Coast 510 Meet next year. This years was excellent with good weather and lots of racing and great company, even a transmission replacement was performed. My drive from NH and back home was awesome. A few new guys looking forward to n...

53k is insane, I mean you have a NA L Series engine making 240hp so me thinks taking this on trips or long fun runs would be pricey in the way of the need of high octane fuel and I doubt 93 would suffice all by itself. The paint is another issue which for me I'd never ever put out 53k deep pockets o...

Hey dood! If it comes down to it, I've got plenty of good CORES, might even have an NOS rebuild kit............let me know! TJ Thanks TJ! I located a few from other 510 guys. I have one one the way from a guy in Texas. He was reasonable about the price. Just a bit more then what an aftermarket one ...
You can get rebuild kits and parts from Futofab.com. defdes you really should cup your exhaust tail pipe to keep them critters out, I do because one year I start the 510 and it blew mommy and 4 lil ones along with their nest out the back. Alot of engine shops will dip the carb bodies for you or you ...
