I am also planning on doing some sort of electric steering assist. I haven't seen any done on a 510. I have seen a saturn vue unit installed on an s30z.
While I would like to possibly do a rack and pinion swt up I have heard mixed results. This is merely for comfort and not performance.

We recently inherited a 71 wagon from the original owner. It has over 500k miles and my wife and I plan on doing a VG swap.
