Re: Interesting ebay Finds
Eewww, I can smell the nasty mainland Asia knockoffness from here. Plus it just doesn't look period correct, which for someone set on retaining the floor-mounted hinged pedal, is probably a consideration. To be clear, the one I linked to on eBay is genuine Nissan, just repacked in a third party bag....

Re: Interesting ebay Finds
Dumb question: how close does the 2-piece hinged, steel pedal from the Nissan forklift come to being a bolt-in, Nissan replacement for the original 510 plastic living hinge accelerator pedal for those of you wanting to keep it? Found this on eBay just now and instantly recognized the pattern: https:...

Re: Motor mount question
Whiteline makes some that don't look bad. Also, Z31 mounts look verrry close to S13 mounts. What's the thickness/height of yours?68Datsun510 wrote: ↑31 May 2018 02:59 Makes sense... Im trying to figure out a better mount option for my VG swap, but nobody makes z31 upgrades... UGH lol

Re: Motor mount question
Ive gone through the same ordeal, where on earth they got that spec for thickness is beyond me. It's because they're Chinese manufacturers who happened to spec the mounts off the 620 Datsun because most people think they're identical to 510 mounts when in fact the 620 are 3mm(?) taller. 620 owners ...

Need help identifying Lazorlite piston ring set
Does anyone know what application a Lazorlite Set No. 2803 piston ring set is for (.020 over). I'm hoping it's L18. Any help is greatly appreciated as my Google fu isn't netting any results. Maybe someone has an old interchange catalog? Thanks.

WTB: L18 block shipped to Texas,
In search of an L18 block, unmolested, minor decking acceptable but would prefer stock height (though I don't really care about the condition of the deck surface). No stripped holes, broken casting, grinding on the inside to clear larger stroke cranks, et cetera. Must have original main caps. Doesn'...

Re: H190 end play help,
Mike, thanks for confirming for me. I really do appreciate it. Was pretty sure that's how they are from memory..especially since they're not fully floating axles (at least not in the roadsters/510s/200SXs). It was called into question last night as someone I sold an H190 LSD unit to kept telling me ...

H190 end play help,
Okay, dumb question time, and if ANYONE can help me out on this I'm very grateful...but on the H190 rear ends, isn't the axle end play set using shims at the outer bearings? And the "thrust block" in the center of the stock open differentials basically redundant? There is no thrust block i...

Re: 1200 a12 bike carbs informations needed
You have to run a fuel pressure regulator whether run run electric or mechanical fuel pump. The 280ZX electric fuel pump that has the gerotor style pump section that can be disassembled externally, and have the pressure relief spring fine tuned to drop down to a consistent lower fuel pressure. Gran...

Re: 1200 a12 bike carbs informations needed
What are the carbs? FCR? Also remember that bike carbs run on very little fuel pressure. Holley sells a low pressure kit that works with their bypass style fuel pressure regulator, if you can't fine tune whatever fuel pump you're using just right. Also, on A and L-series engines running bike carbs, ...

Re: Ray Reed Racing Manifold
Ray Reed Racing was somehow affiliated with Kissimmee Datsun in Florida in the 1970s. That's all I can find online. Just blurbs in scanned newspaper ads from the time and such about Datsun performance items, and all of Kissimmee Datsun's classifieds ads stated "KISSIMMEE DATSUN RAY REED RACING ...

WTB: pre-78 620 spindle with hub
I know this isn't the most appropriate place to post searching for 620 parts, but I'm in desperate need of an unmodified spindle & hub assembly for a pre-78 620 (73-77 with drum front brakes). I only need one, but I'm willing to buy both if anyone who has them doesn't want to split them up. They...

Re: WANTED - L Series Street Engine - Rebello - Ermish
No 'well built' L20B will touch this. Assuming that the "well built" L20B is "well built" with mostly stock parts, and redlines at stock RPM. Doing a total barnyard build 2.3 with entirely stock L20B components swapped over to it is a lot of work and effort to go through for suc...

FS: Nismo CA18DET clutch pressure plate and Tomei metal head gasket
At first I wasn't going to post these here as they're not L-series parts, but the CA is common enough in the 510 that I decided I'd go ahead. Nismo clutch cover pressure plate, 30210-RS550. I bought it brand new, out of Japan, and never used it. Comes with the Nismo paperwork but the black Nismo box...

Re: Timing chains with master links?
Just an update for anyone interested: I ordered a Beck/Arnley timing chain online that was shipped to me directly from Beck/Arnley, and it is in fact Japanese, and does not have a "please destroy my engine" master link. So current distribution Beck/Arnley timing chains are good stuff.
