Re: Stock l16 engine/mounts sits too far forward?
You can try to swap the engine rubber mounts left to right and right to left, but I don't think that will help since the part number is the same for either left or right. 11220-A3500 The radiator is wrong. the 510 radiator fill is on the top of the tank, not offset to the rear like your pictures. Wanted: Stock 510 Instrument Cluster Circuit Board
I need a stock instrument cluster circuit board for my '71 510. I really don't need the entire instrument cluster, just the printed circuit board. The board needs to be in very good condition however without any corrosion or damage. I want to use the circuit board multi-pin connector for the instrum...

Re: L20b installation question
I had similar issues with the L20 installation. The valve cover would hit the hood. I then discovered the L20 engine mounts are taller than the L16 engine mounts. So, I used L16 mounts and the valve cover doesn't hit the hood.

Wanted: Small wiring harnes for dashboard turn signal indicators
I need the small wiring harness for the dashboard turn signal indicators.
It has a 3-pin connector that connects to the main harness and then branches out to the turn signal indicator lights. Anybody got one or two they can spare?

Re: 510 with LB20
The L20B in my 510 has a "matchbox" electronic distributor. See if you can find one and you can do away with the ballast resistor. Then have a much more stable spark for both start and run. Two wire hook-up with switched +12 volt and negative from the coil. Here are a couple links: http://...

See if you can get a replacement wiring harness for the turnsignal and splice into the 12 pin pug for the high beam. For the turn signals, cut off the light bulbs and wire them to the LED's. Be sure to observe the +12 and ground.

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?
Installed a thermostat (P.O. had taken it out, not sure why). Installed a mechanical coolant gauge. I have been having an issue of getting hot in traffic. Installed 2 9" fans to help with the cooling issue. Did a test run (idled in the driveway). Got it up to temperature (160F). Thermostat ope...

Re: Gilson SSS Dash Fitting method
I'm still working on the Gilson SSS instrument panel. VDO gauges and getting all the wiring in order. More wiring needed and then connect to the car's wiring by using the stock connector. Maybe some bullet contacts will fit the stock 12-pin receptacle. IMG_20220124_083007314.jpg IMG_20220124_0835526...

Re: Shorter valve length?
When I had the machine shop do the repair on the U67 head, I had them replace all the seats to match up with those of the 280z valves. It has been over a year ago and I think I had them install the 8000SG (46mm intake) and 8002SG (38mm exhaust) valves. I need to double check that however. The shop a...

Re: Shorter valve length?
When I rebuilt my U67 head because one of the brass seats fell out, I had the machine shop replace all the seats with steel and at the same time, machine the pockets to accept the larger 280Z 44mm intake valve seats. All resulting in the correct protrusion of the valve stem once all was ground and l...

Re: what happened to the banner photo?
For the banner photo, I think rotating vehicle pictures would be great. Maybe a new picture every week/ 2 weeks/ month?
Here is mine if you want to start with it.
