New Lash Pads & Other Odds/Ends
Going through my tool box after a move and came across a set of .265 lash pads I picked up for one of my big isky cams. Only used to measure then went with a slightly smaller pad. Looking for $50 Canadian for the set. https://i.vgy.me/yXmX9q.jpg Also have 3 individual ones of various sizes 190, 205 ...

Re: 71 Halloween Pumpkin Build Unflared
I love the sound of the KA you've got, but I'm all for different stuff. Also good choice on the 4.44 gears I'm a huge fan of mine. Will be following this

Re: 1971 2 Door, L16 --> 2.1 Long Rod --> CA18DET
I'm the one that originally posted that 620 mounts work. They do, since I've posted that I've learned that S13 and S14 and S15 have different motor mount angles, and there are 4 different 620 motor mount thicknesses..... If you get the right combo it works perfect haha. Haha figured it must have be...

Re: 1971 2 Door, L16 --> 2.1 Long Rod --> CA18DET
Thanks for the specific angles to shoot for I appreciate it! I'm aware that the Ca and SR dont sit perfectly upright but with 2 stock 620 mounts this thing wanted to be basically laying on its side haha. If I had to hazard a guess I'd say a good 20 to 30 degrees. Once I get the trans hooked up and c...

Re: 1971 2 Door, L16 --> 2.1 Long Rod --> CA18DET
Decided to try a test fit tonight with a combo of random mounts I had laying around. Heard that stock 620 mounts work but they ended up put the engine at a crazy angle, at the moment have one 620 and one stock ca18 mount and the engine seems to be fine at first glance https://vgy.me/RPDAxS.jpg https...

Re: 1971 2 Door, L16 --> 2.1 Long Rod --> SR20VE
Got to work cleaning up the CA18 and it needed a little more work then was initially let on. Ran a compression test and number 3 & 4 cylinders were pretty low (60 and 80psi) while the first two were totally fine, added oil to the low cylinders and the both shot up to match the others which point...

Re: 1971 2 Door, L16 --> 2.1 Long Rod --> SR20VE
Well the project has taken another turn, had a fella interested in buying the engine for the last while and finally came to an agreement. He traded me a complete Ca18det.... and a 1970 240z for it haha. Tore the carbs apart and sanded the points and it fired right up. Has all new brakes, s13 suspens...

Re: 1971 2 Door, L16 --> 2.1 Long Rod --> SR20VE
I was kinda hoping you'd keep the olive colour, in shiny new paint it suits the era of car. Progress is good, you'll be happy to drive it next year, maybe? I really considered the green but in the end I really like that blue. I'm definitely shooting for the spring, the list of things left to get he...

Re: Blue '71 Project
Lots of nice work going on here keep up the progress! It's always funny seeing people try 7j +0 wheels and seeing them stick out like that, reminds me how much i pulled my fenders haha. I can fit 7.5j -6 on the rear and 7j +0 up front with a little room to spare but im also pretty lowered without an...

Re: 1971 2 Door, L16 --> 2.1 Long Rod --> SR20VE
That looks very good, I love the color. What brakes are you going to use with that 1" bmc? Thanks! And I have a set of Wilwoods on the front I threw on late last year and plan to some day throw a set on the rear. The old master couldn't push the fluid they needed and the pedal felt real spongy...

Re: 1971 2 Door, L16 --> 2.1 Long Rod --> SR20VE
Guess this is due for an update, Finally got back into the car a few weeks ago, finished up the bay and finally sprayed some color! Borrowed a big 5hp compressor from work and spent the weekend laying down some epoxy primer, color, then a number of coats of clear. After the first couple primer coats...
