Re: Draining the Account-72 Dime

Nice looking car. 600lb is waaaaay too light for the rears to match with the front. To match with 250lb fronts you should be around 950lb. The rear control arm has a 3.8 : 1 ratio.

Re: Adjustable Rear Spring Perch

You will want to match them to the front springs. I have weight jacked in my car. I have 300lb front and 1100lb rear. You should match them at a ratio of 3.8 or as close as you can get.

Re: F10

I would for sure drive that car. I'm not a fan of FWD but either drive it as it or just cram a cheap newer FWD motor into it. It's so ugly it looks good.

I agree with Keith. Don't think twice about it. Go with the 4.11's. I have 4.44's and a second diff with 4.6's that is going in next month. With the .74 OD it makes the short gears totally bearable for hwy driving. It is also the cheapest HP you can buy.

Re: OCTOBERFAST 2018

I may have to bolt their seats down in the back. I'm sure they would totally love 7h in my car.

Her name is Asha....that would not go over well. She is going to a competition and will not be home. I'm pretty sure she would not like to have the kids along.

Re: OCTOBERFAST 2018

Right now I know I cannot come on the 27/28th weekend. That is my wife's birthday. The 13/14 would be best for me.

Re: de-tuning a race engine

As Keith said mine is much like his. JE pistons custom for the application and crower forged aluminum rods. Balanced crank. Z22 block and I have this V912 head. Andy spent a bunch of time on the head. It is matched to the intake and exhaust. Yes I could have had more out of a newer motor for less......

What Bert said....I paid a lot but it was worth every penny to be able to flog on it like I do and never have it miss a beat in 5 years.

Re: de-tuning a race engine

Much more than that....you are probably looking at another 2 to 3k to get the lower compression pistons and for the work.

Re: de-tuning a race engine

I bought a detuned race engine 5 years ago and have never been happier. It was a LZ 2.3L with 14:1 compression when Andy showed it to me. He got new pistons to bring it down to 10.5:1 and put smaller chokes in the dual 44's. It was a LOT of money but 8000 rpm in a L series is awesome. Dry sump will ...

Re: All Japanese Classic '18 - August 26th - Waterfront Park

Well I am just about to get off the ferry. There is a freshly painted roadster right beside me and we are both looking at the drizzling rain coming down hoping it doesn't do this all day. See everyone soon.
And +1 on "Keith bring the G35"

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?

I swapped out my 8" front springs for a pair of 7" it got rid of the preload on the front end and brought my front end alignment back to where it should be. It really is nice to have the car back on the nose again. Goodbye understeer.
