Re: REMEMBRANCE DAY 2017
This being my 15 years of service to the Navy, I always felt like I was apart of something bigger than myself. This summer I got the news that I had been picked up for Chief Petty Officer. We spent a lot of time reflecting on that the trials and tribulations of our brothers and sisters time after ti...

Re: Ron Davis info for #1100 1A for KA24DE-T
I'm using a dual core ebay radiator but only 10lbs of boost. I'm not blocking it with a front mount ic though. 226hp and it works fine.

Re: Finn's KA24DET
Yes Julian, I'm still alive, in Virginia :? But more importantly, the 510 is ALIVE!!!! I swapped that bolt and added some fresh gas and the beast came alive. I think I'm a tooth off for timing but she's running. I'm so happy  a loose bolt, who knew... This is her in her catatonic ...

Re: Finn's KA24DET
Finally got some time to spend on the dime. I started pulling everything off the head assuming it had a bent valve. I pulled the front cover off for the sprocket gears and found the idler was loose. The bolts threads were stripped. Hopefully the teeth inside are manageable with a new bolt, not sure ...

Re: Finn's KA24DET
Julian, I wasn't completely sold on his expertise but the gear on the dist was worn. But worn enough? ... Over the last few day I changed the distributor and spark plugs and set the timing. Took a few tries, but got the motor to fire up like normal but it had a bad knock. I tried adding some oil and...

Re: Finn's KA24DET
I got orders to Virginia in the winter and we set off a few days ago. I drove the 510 loaded down with uniforms and household stuff while the family drove the explorer. The car did well, averaged 15 on the A/F ratio and made lots of power. Only snafu the first day was the front left wheel came a lit...

Re: WTB: 2 door 510
Have you tried posting in your local classifieds? My thoughts are that there's two groups of car owners out there. People who have modernized themselves with the Internet and are somewhat aware of what their classic is presently worth, and people (elders) who haven't seen the rise in popularity or t...

Re: the new look
I apologize for my bantering, just wish it wasn't such an issue posting pics. I am grateful for Spencer 's devotion. If there's a dollar amount to upgrade the storage for imagines, per year per say, I'd like to know so that I can help pay towards that. I know I could put my photos on other sites and...

Re: Anyone use a pressure bleeder?
I've been fighting a soft pedal issue for a week now, finally crossed the street to a mech shop to have them pressure bleed it. Couldn't access the master ports due to the pressure plate needed for dual master. No air out of calipers, still soft pedal. Took it home and 4 hours later bled the master ...
