From the pictures It looks like there is room to cut an inch or so out of the coolant neck, then reweld it. Maybe even angle it up so the hose can go over the cam covers to buy a little more space?

The VQ35DE is rated at 287hp per the SAE 2004 standards while the newer HR's are rated on the new SAE system. If the 287hp DE's were rated on the same scale they would be more around low 270's. So 332hp (the standard VQ35HR) vs. let's just say 275 is 57 horses difference, then the Nismo version is 3...

I just have high hopes of getting my hands on a VQ37HR when it's time to put a motor back in, so I'm willing to sell all the VQ35DE related stuff (engine, transmission because they are different between the DE and HR, and the EMS). If I don't manage to get an HR, then I'll just get another VQ35DE.
