The AMG cooling fins are welded to a boxed in section which in turn is welded to a stock cover. Probably not the most effecient way of cooling but it looks kinda cool. And ANY additional volume in a R160 will help.

True but 'usually' you can tell from the pictures if the bike has been abused or not. Its not looking good, though.
