Damn.... glad the decision was made to repair...

Post up more when it becomes available.

There is a bunch of in car footage from the race at the ridge on the youtube channel. Such a fun track!!! I like ORP the best but we aren't racing there this year.

The 3.7's are awesome gears with the SR 6 speed.

Re: CLSD Identification

Also interesting that there isn't any clearancing on the housing. I had to remove a bit of material to fit the Precision Gear LSD.

Re: Swapping from a SR20DET to a L series engine question

I've fuel injected 3 510's with L motors. I'd rather swap out a KA before adding EFI to a L. Lots of work, and unless you are turboing the L it's just kind of a let down when it's done. Just my 2 cents... again. haha.

Re: Swapping from a SR20DET to a L series engine question

I like the engine bay without a turbo plus an ITB setup looks so nice and sounds good too. I guess the difference for me is I like to enjoy the driving experience of my 510's. I don't care about what engine looks cool under the hood. I just want the most hp reliable. I kick the shit out of my SR at...

Re: Swapping from a SR20DET to a L series engine question

I’d saddle up my horse before I went back to an L series! HAHA Me too!! An L feels like a SR running on 1 cylinder. just call me Grandpa... but ..... what kind of mileage can one expect from a SR ? is there throttle lag with that fuel injection ? if your fuel pump caffs 100km in the bush can ...

Would it be possible to rebuild the engine and convert it to a non turbo SR20 DE or would it not be worth it? The owner said it spun a bearing.
I say rebuild it and leave the turbo. There is no way you won't like it. If for some crazy reason you don't cross that bridge when you get there.

Re: Swapping from a SR20DET to a L series engine question

Just get a non turbo SR. It will be more reliable and run smooth despite the weather making the car much more enjoyable to drive. Why don't you like turbo motors? Even with the lag they still have more bottom end then the NA motor. A good buddy of mine did a beast L motor build, LZ block, high compr...

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!

Sure am loving the turbo SR! Even with no intercooler and tinny exhaust its way more power then before. I've now driven it at 3 events. My next upgrade will be brakes. The stock brakes are fading by the end of 1 lap. At the last event they were so bad they didn't even last a 1 minute lap. Which allo...

Mike mail that down to me. I need one!
I'll slip it in a padded envelope. I think this one's broken. Probably stuck in gear.
Okay. Fix it before you toss in in the envelope.

This is gonna be a sweet build. But why not just go with the VVL head and SR20det block thats been done countless times? Either way stoked for you dude.

I just don't see the point in taking apart a good running engine. Plus if it does blow up I can get another one for 1500 bucks and bolt it in.
