Re: Chocolate covered circus peanut

Been plugging away on the coupe. It's almost a driver. Still needs a little wiring, trans shifter cover, battery tie down and maybe a different brake master. Pedal travel is excessive. Seeing it sitting on the ground is awesome!! Here are some pics of the process. Taking out the frame so I can roll ...

Re: Transmission strength for SR20DET OR 300+ hp motors - options..?

The SR trans will last, my buddy runs one in his drag 510 which makes almost 500whp on E85 and hasn't broken it yet. He says the axles are the problem. He runs 11.7's on slicks in the quarter, with fuel cut at the top end. If you have the Z32 trans and adapter I don't see any reason to not go that ...

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!

I checked the diff clutch breakaway last night, its at about 50lbs. Seems fine. Could the clutches just be worn out? I've been testing and it seems to do 1 tire fire pretty easily. I'll swap the springs for the next event if it isn't raining. I like the idea of extra weight in the back for rain even...

Here is the dyno chart. I don't know why the dude didn't rev it higher.

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!

I mainly wanted to dyno this engine to see how much HP I will gain at the wheels after I install the turbo SR I have and how much different the times will be. To be honest 126WHP is getting kinda boring. I had a bunch of ride alongs so this event my times were kinda everywhere. The previous event fr...

It made 126RWHP about what I expected.

Re: "Hey" my daily driven race car!

Well.... after all these years of autoxing the rest of the field has either learned to drive or bought Hoosiers. Now I'm usually 5th in RWD and 7-9th overall.... Damn! I'm dynoing my car tomorrow. I wonder if maybe it's down on power. My guess is the guys are just learning how to drive there cars. D...

Re: Recaro Evo 9 MR seats

I've always have to cut down the front rail when installing any seat, actually I want to lower the seat in my Coupe, even the stock seat is to high. Although it's handy to be 6' tall it sucks when your head almost touches the headliner.... I lowered the seat in my daily and I wouldn't mind if it was...

That is good humor. Where is H.P. these days anyway?
He stopped by the other day. He seems to be in good spirits. Sold his yellow convertable 510 and his two stroke motor bikes he might have kept one. His girlfriend also lives with him!!!!

Hey Seattle member I live in Bruien,WA. just south of Seattle by the air port. I am a new member today. Looking for a used 510 to rebuild for my auto shop high school class.

How far do you want to drive? I know of a two door in Oregon for around 1500 bucks.

Re: Tunning dual Weber's

This is how I tune them. I find the orginal box and packing material. Box them up real nice just like they came out. Then I load the box into my car, drive down to the river and chuck them in! haha That's a Heinz joke if you guys don't remember it :)

Re: Trans drain plug size

the square drive hole works with a 1/2 drive ratchet unless its really tight... I tried to get a tool from the Snap-on dude. He couldn't find one. Let me know if you find something that works. I always end up welding a bolt to it so I can get a better bite.

Re: Whitebird

We'll see what it goes for, we'll be watching. I'm probably the only guy asking the question - what happened to the original front drum struts? Not that you get the brake parts to make them work anymore, but I think I'm the only guy here with a complete and functional L13 car that still has the ori...

Re: Fuel pump trigger not working out of ECU.

I totally forgot to take those pics. Seems like you got that part sorted. Wow that scanner tool sounds rad!!! Can you see the timing map? The fuel pump usally primes for 1 second while key is turned on then always runs when the engine is turning. If the key is on and the engine is not running the fu...
